Choir workshops

Does your choir need a fresh set of ears? Some new repertoire? Different warm-ups and games to keep things engaging? Maybe you need some help with vocal technique or developing the choir's blend. I can develop a workshop to specifically address the needs of your group.

How it works

You give me a brief for the kind of workshop you’d like me to run and together we make sure it ticks all your boxes.

I have extensive experience working with all kinds of choirs, including groups that learn by ear through to choirs that can sight-read, small ensembles to several hundred singers.

We can drill down on technical issues, explore repertoire or work on specific musical skills.

Workshops may include

  • workshopping current repertoire

  • developing the choir’s blend and balance

  • improving singers’ vocal production, awareness and understanding

  • developing choir members’ understanding of pitch and harmony

  • developing choir members’ sense of rhythm and groove

  • developing choir members’ musicianship skills

  • new repertoire (classical, popular, gospel, folk, music from around the world)

  • performance skills

  • improvisation

  • musical games

  • team-building activities
